Telemedicine Platform Launch
Healthcare Network
A healthcare network wanted to launch virtual care across 15 states with video visits, e-prescriptions, and insurance billing in one flow. Bricksense built the platform.
The Challenge
Virtual care only works if the whole visit works: scheduling, a reliable video consultation, clinical notes into the EHR, a prescription to the patient's pharmacy, and a claim to the insurer — without the clinician juggling five systems.
It had to be HIPAA-compliant, licensed to the right clinician by state, and stable enough for 2,000+ consultations a day.
Our Approach
Visit flow design
One continuous clinician workflow from waiting room to notes to prescription to claim, with the patient side kept deliberately simple.
Video infrastructure
Low-latency video with network adaptation, a pre-call device check, and automatic fallback to phone.
Integrations
EHR for scheduling and documentation, an e-prescribing network, and clearinghouse integration for insurance claims.
Compliance & licensing
State-based clinician routing, consent capture, encryption, and full audit logging.
The Solution
Patients join a video visit from a link with no app install; clinicians run the visit, document, prescribe, and bill from one screen. Claims and prescriptions leave the system automatically.
The platform routes each patient to a clinician licensed in their state and holds up at 2,000+ visits a day.
What We Delivered
- HIPAA-compliant telemedicine platform (patient web, clinician console)
- Adaptive low-latency video with phone fallback
- EHR integration for scheduling and clinical documentation
- e-Prescribing and insurance claim integration
- State-based licensing rules, consent capture, and audit logging
The Results
The network now delivers 2,000+ virtual consultations a day across 15 states, with patient satisfaction at 4.8 out of 5.
Because billing is part of the visit flow, claim processing time dropped 70% and clinicians finish visits without administrative overhang.
Our clinicians do the whole visit — video, notes, prescription, claim — from one screen. We scaled to fifteen states without the back office falling over.
